Evan Edwards Pecca, 59, of Albemarle, NC, died December 6, 2014 at her home.

Evan was born at Watts Hospital in Durham, NC on November 7, 1955 to Everette M. Edwards, Jr. and Ann Pegram Edwards.

She was a graduate of Ravenscroft School and Meredith College in Raleigh, NC. Evan was a restaurant owner/manager and country club manager. She enjoyed needlepoint, cooking, watching old movies, crafts (especially wreaths made with seashells), sports (especially UNC), yard work, walking the beach looking for seashells and animals (she had dogs, kittens, rabbits and turtles). Evan's passion was helping others and she touched many lives because of her giving nature.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Ann Pegram Edwards; grandmothers, Addie B. Pegram (owner of Pegram Pharmacy in Apex and first female to graduate from UNC School of Pharmacy); Sallie Wells Edwards; grandfathers, Calvin Winchester Pegram; and Everette M. Edwards, Sr.

Evan is survived by her father, Everette M. Edwards, Jr. of Atlantic Beach; sister, Marcia Edwards Vanore; brother-in-law, Robert Vanore both of Albemarle, nieces, Marcee Vanore of Concord; Candice Vanore of Albemarle; and Angela Vanore of Chapel Hill; grandnephew, Robert Anthony Maupin of Chapel Hill; and grandniece, Ann Margaret Maupin.

A memorial graveside service will be held 12 noon Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Apex Cemetery in Apex, NC. The family will receive friends 11am-12pm prior to the service at Apex Funeral Home, 550 W. Williams St, Apex, NC 27502.
