Margaret B. Sheplor, 79, of 218 29th S.W., widow of Claude P. Sheplor, died at a Mason City nursing home Wednesday evening, following a lingering illness. She had lived in Mason City 41 years.
Mrs. Sheplor was born Sept. 2, 1873, at Boyceville, Wis., the daughter of Peter and Josephine (Orcutt) Bodette. She taught in the rural and city schools of the area.
March 16, 1911 she was married to Claude Sheplor at Menomonie, Wis. They came to Mason City in 1911 and she had lived here since that time. She was a member of the First Methodist Church and the Queen Rebeckah Lodge 106.
Surviving are her brother, W. W. Bodette, and sister, Jessie Appleby, Boyceville, Wis. She was preceded in death by her husband in September, 1950, and b six brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the McAuley and Son Chapel with Doctor Lloyd Gustafson, pastor of the FIrst Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be at the Downing Cemetery, Downing, Wis.
