Thomas "Tommy" Royall Drummond, 82, passed away Saturday, November 8, 2014, in New Braunfels, Texas. Graveside burial of his ashes will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, December 13, 2014, in the Oakwood Cemetery, in Corsicana, Texas.
Tommy was born in Waco, Texas, to the late Thomas Edward Drummond and Beatrice Royall Drummond. He graduated from Waco High School in 1951. He earned the Badge of Eagle Scout and was a member of the United Methodist Church, Waco, Texas. Tommy was a veteran of the United States Navy serving as a Radioman Second Class aboard ship during the Korean War. He earned the following medals: Good Conduct, Navy Occupational Service, and National Defense Service Ribbon. "We Thank You for Your Service."
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Hope Drummond; brother-in-law, Tom Chandler; and a nephew, Robert Mark King.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Drummond; daughter, Keli (Drummond) Halvorson; granddaughters, Kati Richter and Emmersen Hope; two great-grandchildren; step-daughters, Teri Elliott and husband, David, Llan Allen, and Lisa Garvin and husband, Scott; step-grandchildren: Justin Elliott, Lindsey Dodds, Craig Elliott, Brandon Allen, Danielle Allen, Kurt Silvio, Kenneth Silvio, and Kaitlin Silvio; many step great-grandchildren; sisters, Willowdean Chandler, and Gail King and husband, Bob; nieces, Cheryl Cook and husband, David, Nancy Chandler Eppers and husband, Kenny; nephews: Thomas Chandler, David King, and Jim King and wife, Martha; grandniece, Caitlin King; cousins: Garrett Drummond, John Royall and Donald Royall; many other relatives and numerous friends.
