Carolyn Francis Bartlett, 73, of Harrisville, went to meet her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ after a long illness, on Dec. 9, 2014.

She was born May 18, 1941, at Mellin, W.Va., the daughter of the late Earl Echard and Goldie Ernestine Metz Toothman.

Carolyn will be remembered most as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Together with her husband, they ran the Lindsey Bartlett & Sons family farm and Stout Hardware Company in Harrisville. She attended the First Apostolic Church of Harrisville, formerly worked at the Union Bank of Harrisville, and was the 4H leader for the Washburn 4H Club for many years.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Lindsey Monroe Bartlett; three sons, Lyle Monroe Bartlett of Harrisville, Brian Lynn Bartlett of Cairo, and Loren Shelton Bartlett (Michele) of Harrisville; brothers, Denzil Echard of Parkersburg, David Echard of Cairo, and Mark Echard of Glenville; sister, Kathryn Adams of Harrisville; one granddaughter, Rachel Bartlett; and four grandsons, Ben, Jesse, Hayden, and Landen Bartlett. She was preceded in death by a sister, Reba Riffle; and brothers, Wayne and Lowell Stephen Echard.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 13, at Raiguel Funeral Home, Harrisville, with Rev. Alan Adams officiating. Burial will follow in the Spruce Creek Cemetery, Lawford, W.Va. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m., Friday, Dec. 12, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to Harrisville Volunteer Fire Dept., 900 W. Main St., Harrisville, WV, 26362.
