Constance Castle Fravel Hansen (Mrs. William D. Hansen) died May 21, 2004. She was born to Charles and Josephine Taylor Castle on August 4, 1911.
Connie attended Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota and the University of Washington where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. She was also a member of PEO, Chapter AB, American Contract Bridge League, and Bellingham Golf and Country Club.
Connie is survived by her son Maris T. Fravel and his wife Judy of San Francisco and Michigan; daughters Glenna Hansen of the family home, Heidi Suni and her husband Peter of Bellingham, Julie Hansen of Monterey, California; and her step-daughter Anya Flesh and her husband Marty of Chapala, Jalisco, Mexico. Connie's grandchildren are Behan Gifford and her husband Jamie of Bainbridge Island, Taylor Fravel and his wife Anna of San Francisco, Allen Sybrant and his wife Emily of Salt Lake City, Kent Sybrant of Phoenix, Bryn and Claire Suni of Bellingham and Maeve Murphy of Monterey; and her great-grandchildren Niall, Mairen and Siobhan Gifford and Hayden and Lilly Sybrant. Connie is also survived by her beloved cousin Margaret Josephine Morrison (Peggy Jo) of Portland, Oregon, and many friends too numerous to count.
Connie raised her family on Middlefield Road in Bellingham. When the children were grown, she and Bill moved to Viewcrest where they had many happy years.
At Connie's request, a private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to Hospice of Whatcom County.
