Sarah Ann Tate, age seven weeks, passed away on December 8th, 2014, at her home in Sharpsburg, GA. Sarah was the daughter of Erica Rae Tate. She is survived by her mother, Erica; grandparents, Blue & Missy Cole (Mimi & Papa) of Sharpsburg, Gene & Tanya Tate of Newnan; great grandparents, Clay & Rachael Cole of Sharpsburg, Ron Terrell and the late Vickie Terrell of Sharpsburg, Don & Brenda Hutchins of Ormond Beach, and Teresa Jones of Newnan; great-great grandparents, Nell Floyd and Doris Gillespie both of Newnan; aunts, uncles, cousins, and many other family members who loved her dearly.

Sarah was a gift to her family. Every day of her life was one of love, attention, and affection. While her time with us was far too short, everyone saw her family’s love for her. Sarah’s Gift is one of healing and unconditional love.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Higgins Hillcrest Chapel in Newnan with Rev. Lee Ayers officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery with Wallace McAbee officiating. Visitation with family will be Friday, December 12th, from 6-8 PM.
The passing of our “Sarah Bear” was unexpected and tragic. The thoughts and prayers of the community have aided her family, easing this time of grief and pain. Sarah’s impact will long outlive her, touching the lives of those yet to come.
