She was born July 20, 1936, in Wayne County, the daughter of L.S. "Wash" and Mildred (Heffelfinger) Austen, and married Robert R. Frank on Aug. 23, 1953. He survives.
She had been a cook for Wooster City Schools and worked in the attendance office, was a cook at Wooster Community Hospital and a volunteer at Wooster High School, selling tickets to sporting events for more than 20 years.
Surviving in addition to her husband are grandchildren, Chris and Monica Frank and Bryan and Sarah Frank; great-grandchildren, Christopher, Marianna, Landon, Sydney and Mason Frank; and close friends, Randy, Steve and Lori Besancon, Wendy and Shawn McKelvey.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Cheryl; and a son, James.
Graveside services will be Monday, Dec. 15 at 11 a.m. in Fairview Cemetery, with Pastor Kirk Fairhurst officiating. There will be no calling hours.
