COTTONDALE | Glenda Fay Bullock, age 79, of Cottondale, died December 9, 2014, at Hospice of West Alabama. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, December 13, 2014, at Evergreen Baptist Church with Brother Jack Clary officiating and Heritage Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Burial will take place in Hollywood Cemetery in McComb, Mississippi at a later date.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam Ward and Ada Mae (McMichael) Ward; brothers, Doug Ward and John Cecil Ward; sisters, Anita Hendon and Doris Rushing; son, Stephen Bullock; and niece, Laura Hendon.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Edward Bullock of Cottondale; daughters, Bobette Toussant (David) and Robin Tibbs (Tim); sons, Brad Bullock (Debbie) of Tupelo, Miss., Kenneth Bullock (Ginny) of Cottondale, and Joel Bullock of Cottondale; brother, Billy Sam Ward of Clinton, Miss.; grandchildren, Dwain Bates, Menton Matthews, III, Ben Bullock, Renee Hubbard, Brandi Blackburn, Jayme Bullock, Sam Alexander, Jonathan Alexander, Emily Tibbs, Seth Bullock, Ashley Graham and Stacy Graham; and seven great-grandchildren.
Glenda was born and raised in McComb, Mississippi, one of six children. She graduated from McComb High School, and was a faithful member of South McComb Baptist Church. When Robert and Glenda came together with three children, they were blessed with three more. She moved from McComb, Miss. to Albia, Iowa, them Malvern, Ark., where she continued working in banking as the manager of a branch at Malvern National Bank until retiring to Pass Christian, Miss. After Hurricane Katrina, she relocated to Tuscaloosa, Ala. with Robert E. Bullock of 52 years. They eventually settled at a home at Lake Wildwood where she enjoyed the Blue Herons, ducks, and the occasional sighting of a Bald Eagle. No matter where she lived she made everyone feel comfortable and made her home a home of peace, comfort and laughter.
