Oleta Crauthers, 77, went peacefully to be with her Lord on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 in Longtown, OK. She was born on March 15, 1937 in Davenport, OK., to James and Hulda Durham. Oleta married Cecil Crauthers on November 20, 1952. She went to nursing school at Mission Hill and received her LPN license. She worked for Parkview Nursing Home in Shawnee until 2000, and retired after 35 years. After retirement, Oleta and Cecil moved to Lake Eufaula. Oleta loved to crochet doilies and do embroideries. She enjoyed feeding her goldfish and caring for all of her pets.
Oleta was preceded in death by her parents; sons: Johnny Crauthers, Cecil Crauthers, Jr., and James Crauthers; 2 sisters
Those left to cherish their memories are her husband of 62 years, Cecil Crauthers; son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Robbie Crauthers; daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and Marty Inselman; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11am Saturday, December 13, 2014 with Pastor Mark Wallace officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
