Matthew Joseph Lamb, age 16, of Waterford, went to be with our Lord on Thursday, April 13, 2006 after a 1 1/2 year illness. He passed away at home surrounded by his loving family and friends. Born on October 10, 1989 in Erie, he is the son of Patrick David Lamb and Dawn Marie Aleksiewicz Lamb of Waterford. Matt was a sophomore at Fort LeBoeuf High School where he was a member of the varsity Bison Football Team. He played football since 7th grade and also enjoyed playing baseball in the local summer league. He was a fan of the New England Patriots and the Cleveland Indians, and his other interests included riding his dirt bike and 4-wheeler, working on his computer, spending time with his dogs, Willy and Sable, and playing Playstation with his brother, Patrick Lamb Jr. He was preceded in death by three uncles, Ralph and Terry Lamb, and Virgil Brown, and his paternal grandparents, Ralph Lamb Sr. and Mary Rose Lamb. In addition to his parents and brother, survivors include his maternal grandparents, Sharon Hess and her husband, David, of Erie, and Ron Aleksiewicz and his wife, Doris, of Girard, his godmother, Michelle Kenney and her husband, Larry, of El Paso, Texas, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
