Herald News Item, Thursday, March 28, 1895: Mrs. Samuel Cash of Gravel Point, had a boy. (Robert Thomas Cash).

In the 1930 LaRue County Census, Buffalo District, Thomas Cash was family 76. He was 35 years old and his wife, Mattie S., was 29. The children were: Raymond, 12; Wilson H., 8; and Hazel Geneva, age 2-4/12 years.

In 1940 he was living in the Levelwoods area. He was 45 and his wife, Gladys, was 28. The children; Hazel, 12; Junior, 7; Lorene, 6; Barbara, 4; Doris, 2; and Joyce, 3 months.

OBITUARY: Mr. Robert T. Cash, 80, a retired farmer of Campbellsville, Route 4, son of the late Mr. Sam Cash and Mrs. Rosie Jane Skaggs Cash, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky March 13, 1895. He died at 5:50 a.m., Sunday, June 8, 1975 at the Taylor County Hospital in Campbellsville where he had been a patient for the past two weeks. He had professed faith in Christ early in life and was a member of the Zion Separate Baptist Church. He united in marriage to Miss Mattie Morris April 17, 1916. She preceded him in death December 18, 1930. He later united in marriage to Miss Gladys Shofner August 21, 1931. Three sons and one daughter preceded their father in death: Ora Lena Cash, Tommy Lee Cash, Shelby Lee Cash, Ernest Cash all died in infancy. Besides his wife, Mrs. Gladys Shofner Cash of Campbellsville, Route 4, he is survived by three sons and five daughters: Mr. Paul Cash, Jr. and Mrs. Delois Lee, both of Campbellsville, Route 6, Mrs. Joyce Harden of Campbellsville, Route 4, Mr. Raymond H. Cash, Mrs. Hazel G. Stovall, and Mrs. Lorene Ferguson, all of Louisville, Mr. Wilson H. Cash of Winchester, and Mrs. Barbara Combs of Scottsville. He is also survived by thirty-six grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 10, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Chapel in Campbellsville by Rev. S. C. Johnson and Rev. Robert Morris. Burial was in Zion Separate Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers: Wendell Cash, Ray Shofner, Timmy Cash, Garland Cash, Dale Combs, and Frankie Harden.
