Star Estelle Stanfill, 81, of La Center, formerly of Las Vegas, died at 3:25 a.m. Tuesday at Lourdes hospital. Mrs. Stanfill was active in numerous charity and volunteer organizations in Las Vegas, as well as St.
Rose de Lima Hospital Auxiliary in Henderson, Nev. She is survived by two sisters, Opal Grubbs and Effie Mae Adams, both of La Center, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Stanfill; two brothers; and one sister. Her parents were Lokey and Jewell Steinbeck Carter. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m.
Thursday at Antioch Cemetery. The Rev. fe.H. Kendrick and Sister Alicia Coomes will officiate. Friends may call at Jones Funeral Home in La Center from 8 until 10:15 a.m.
