Professional Hockey Player. A native of Niagara Falls, Ontario, Cupolo played the position of Right Wing. At 5'08, and 165lbs, Cupolo played for the Stratford Kroehlers from 1942 to 1944 (OHA-Jr., M-Cup), Boston Bruins from 1944 to 1945 (NHL), Hershey Bears from 1945 to 1946 (AHL), New Haven Ramblers from 1945 to 1946 (AHL), Springfield Indians from 1946 to 1948 (AHL), Fort Worth Rangers from 1948 to 1949 (USHL), San Diego/Seattle from 1949 to 1950 (PCHL), Sydney Millionaires from 1950 to 1951 (CBMHL, Alx-Cup, MMHL), New Haven Tomahawks from 1951 to 1952 (EAHL), Washington Lions from 1952 to 1953 (EAHL), Kitchener/Chatham from 1952 to 1953 (OHA-Sr.), and Chatham/Stratford from 1953 to 1954 (OHA-Sr.). He retired from playing hockey in 1954, but then went to Milan, Italy, where he coached the Milan, Italy, team from 1954 to 1956, during the European Cup entry, and then at the 1956 Olympics in Cortino, Italy. Cupolo married a local woman and had as son named Steven, before he moved back to Canada in 1959. After returning to Niagara Falls, Ontario, Cupolo opened a body shop with his brother, and later coached the Kerrios and Canucks, and also became a supervisor of coaches for the Greater Niagara Minor Hockey Association. Cupolo passed away after a brief illness, on December 7, 2005, at the age of 81, at the Greater Niagara Regional Hospital, in Niagara Falls, Ontario.
