A veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Army, he was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Marie Fantroy, Constance Robinson, and Jewell Spraggins, and one niece Cherri Jackson. He is survived by a devoted wife, Mary Jackson, and six children; Leo (Cozella) Jackson, Marcus Jackson, Byron and Alderic Daniels all of Mobile, AL, and Cordelia Daniels of Conyers, GA and LaTonya (Timothy) Williams of Mobile, AL; four sisters, Sherryl Cunningham, Tonya(Lenard) Calhoun, Brenda Hogan, Tammy (Willie) Smith, all of Mobile, AL; 4 brothers; Larry (Cynthia) Jackson, Mitchellville, MD, Jesse Jackson II, Mobile, AL, Carl (Mary) Jackson, Chicago, IL and Andrew Rahman, Montgomery, AL; sister-in-law Vera (Rev. Charlie) York; 2 brothers-in-law Anthony and Larry Knight; 29 grandchildren, ; 6 great-grandchildren, one uncle Lawrence Battiste, II; a devoted nephew Michael Jackson and host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12, 2014 from 9am until the 11am funeral hour at Revelation Missionary Baptist Church, 1711 Taylor Lane, Mobile, AL.
