DOROTHY ‘DOT’ MOSLER

Dorothy Mosler, 73, of Fayetteville, AR, formerly of Bella Vista and Cave Springs, died March 23rd at Washington Regional Medical Center.

She was born February 12, 1934 to Harry and Elsie Marie Hellwig Moore in Chicago, Ill.

She was co-owner of Dot’s Diner in Cave Springs, AR and most recently worked in the gift shop at North Hills Surgery Center for the past 5 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years Eldon Shorty Mosler, her parents, and an infant child, David Allen Mosler.

Dorothy was a member of Sequoyah United Methodist Church.

Dot and Shorty spent a lifetime working together in various endeavors. They grew up on dairy farms, had their own dairy farm and milk route, raised livestock, had developed and sold real estate, operated a successful restaurant, and traveled across the U.S. Dot enjoyed her life with her husband, and her family. She accomplished many things and leaves a legacy of hard work behind in her children and grandchildren. She will be truly missed by those whose lives she touched.

Dorothy is survived by five children; Debbie and Jim Kitchin, Portland OR, Julie Mosler, Portland OR, Steve Mosler and Ferne Alderfer, Richland VA, Sharon and Michael Ackerson, Fayetteville AR, and Mark and Kathy Mosler, Vancouver WA. 12 grandchildren; Jessica Mullins, Steven Mosler, Jessica Ackerson, Wes Modica, Tara Jackson, Matthew Kitchin, Lyndi Modica, Derrick Mosler, April Drury, Anna Kitchin, Kyle Ackerson, and Nichole Mosler.

A memorial service will be at Sequoyah United Methodist Church, Fayetteville, AR at 4 p.m. Wednesday March 28th,, under the direction of Moore’s Chapel.

Graveside Service will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday March 29th at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery, between Chetopa and Oswego KS.

Family and friends will be received at the First Baptist Church in Oswego for a luncheon to follow.

Officiating: The Reverend Craig Russell

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Heart Association, 92 W. Sunbridge, Fayetteville, AR 72703.

These may be left at or mailed to Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 374, Parsons, Ks 67357.
