Mrs. Essie B. Gray, 67, of Route 1, Greenville died Friday at 9:15 p.m. in local hospital.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. today at Coker-Mathews Chapel with the Rev. Gideon Bush officiating. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery.

She was born June 14, 1915 in Lone Oak to Albert and Ethel Wood Stevens. She was married to W.C. Gray June 6, 1936 in Quinlan. Mrs. Gray was a member of ALR Sunday School Class and Wesley United Methodist Church

Surviving are her husband of Greenville; stepmother, Mary Bucks of Dallas; daughter, Delores Lackland of Richardson; and nephew, Raymond Gray of Greenville.

Preceding her in death were her son, Delma Gray who died in 1938, and her parents.

Pallbearers will be Myers Vittatoe, Horice Graham, J.D. Pearce, Joe Bailey Canup, A.L. Ownby and Millard Titus.

Coker-Mathews Funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
