Ida E. McCoy age 94, of Dayton, passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at St. Leonard Health Care Center. Ida retired from D.P. & L. and was an avid square dancer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Forrest and Anna Myers; sisters, Marie Loper, Virginia Baker and Margaret Howard.
Ida is survived by sons, Orville Patrick McCoy (Mary Jo) of Texas and Andrew Stockstill (Ellie) of Nevada; sister, Louise South, Englewood; brother, Joseph Myers (Nita), Vandalia; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, grand nieces and nephews; and grand niece and caregiver, Mary Loper.
Family will greet friends 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at Reis Legacy Center Meyer-Boehmer Chapel, 6661 Clyo Rd., Centerville. A prayer service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 11th at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 11th at St. Leonard Chapel, 8100 Clyo Rd., Centerville. Burial will be at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Leonard's for their kind and compassionate care of Ida over the years.
