Etta Mae Martin, 75, of Gulfport, died January 24, 2009 in Gulfport. She was a member of Amazing Church of God In Christ, Jackson, MS. She was retired from Mississippi State Hospital where she was a Nurse's Assistant and her favorite pastime was studying the Bible.
She was preceded in death by her father, L.C. Martin; mother, Golden Morris Martin; a sister, DeLydia Martin Moore; brother, Leroy Martin and a deceased great-grandchild, Miracle Martin.
Ms. Martin is survived by her step-mother, Mary Martin Hayes; four sons, Kenneth Martin, Oslodsky Martin, Calvin Martin all of Jackson, MS, Deacon Mark (Yolanda) Martin, Gulfport; five sisters, Eloise Carpenter, Oxnard, CA, Betty (Marshall) Smith, Jackson, Alice (Joe) Byas, Clinton, MS, Delilah (Bruce) Gilmore, Vienna, VA, Norma (James) Stover, Chicago; a brother, Cliffton (Glenda) Miller, South Holland, IL; host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services: 11 a.m., Saturday, January 31, 2009 at Morning Star Baptist Church where there will be a visitation one hour prior to services. Interment: Greenwood North Cemetery, McComb, MS. Please view and sign registry at www.lockettwilliams.com.
