A native of Cedartown, Mr. Truitt had lived in Acworth for a number of years. He served his country in the US Army for 3 years during the Korean Conflict and also served in the US Marine Corps for four years during the View Nam War. He retired as a diesel mechanic from the Atlanta Air Trucking Company in College Park.
Mr. Truitt is survived by his wife Mary Jo Truitt of Acworth; son Michael Charles (Karen) Truitt of Decatur; daughters Amy (Brian) Williams of Acworth and Tracey Truitt Schultz of Peachtree City. Nine grandchildren also survive.
