An Australian Test cricketer. He played 41 Tests for his country, from 1909 to 1926. An opening batsman, his top score was 193 not out and he did this aged 44, the oldest player to get a Test century. In an earlier series he was the first player to score a century in both innings of a Test match. He even achieved the honour of captaining Australia when filling in for 2 Tests in 1926.
