The Kalispell Bee (MT), 29 March 1907
Carl Beckers is Dead
Carl Beckers, the fifteen-year-old brother of Hubert Beckers, who went with his family to Spokane last fall, died suddenly of spinal meningitis in that city, Tuesday. The lad had been working as an apprentice in the Shaw-Borden bindery for the past six months. Hub Beckers was in Spokane on a visit until Saturday last, and when he left there his little brother was hale and hearty. He was recalled by telegram Tuesday to attend Carl's funeral.
Carl was a bright, cheerful lad, one of the boys who always took the lead, and was a city carrier for The Bee all last summer. His mates were very fond of him and have made many pathetic inquiries since the news of their companions death reached here.
Thanks to Cara-Mia for the above obit.
