Robert R. Reynolds, 88, of Batavia, Illinois passed away November 15, 2014. He was born March 14, 1926, in Chicago to Cleon and Ida (nee McDonald) Reynolds and later adopted by Hilma Reynolds. He was united in marriage to Loretta O'Donnell on May 10, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois, and they were blessed with five children. Bob was a 1943 graduate of Fenger High School in Chicago. He later served in the Army Air Force with the 14th Air Force in the CBI Theater from 1944 to 1946. He and Loretta later moved to Aurora, Illinois, in 1957. Loretta passed away in 1982. Bob married Eleanor Caughlin on September 17, 1983, in Chicago, Illinois. Bob worked in the automobile business as an office manager and retired in 1990. In his spare time, Bob enjoyed golfing and all levels of football and baseball. Bob is survived by his wife, Eleanor; his five children, Scott (Debbie) Reynolds of Peoria, Arizona, James (Jan) Reynolds of Batavia, Illinois, Diane (Gil) Anderson of Aurora, Illinois, Donald (Chris) Reynolds of Big Rapids, Michigan, and Dean (Jodi) Reynolds of Carefree, Arizona; seven grandchildren, Melissa Grove, Jaime (Matt) Mullins, Todd (Dorrie) Reynolds, Greg Reynolds, Christopher Reynolds, Caryn (Michael) Schonert, and Ana Reynolds; eight great-grandchildren, Tyler, Cody and Colten Mullins, Keller Grove, Claire, Connor and Carson Reynolds, Natalie and Thomas Schonert; a sister, Shirley (William) Payton of Quartzsite, Arizona; brothers-in-law, William (the late Maureen) Caughlin of Elgin, Thomas (Sheila) Caughlin of Crystal Lake, John (Peggi) Caughlin of Elgin; sister-in-law, Catherine Caughlin of Springfield, Illinois; and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews. Visitation will be held 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 19, 2014, at Moss Family Funeral Home, 209 South Batavia Ave. Batavia, IL. Funeral services will begin with prayers from Moss Family Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 20, 2014, before proceeding to Holy Cross Catholic Church, 2300 Main Street, Batavia, IL, to celebrate Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in West Batavia Cemetery in Batavia, IL.
