Mr. Boertmann passed away at the age of 87, and resided in Eastpointe. He was the cherished husband of Aralee (née Sellick), they were married in Detroit, on January 3, 1948. Devoted father of six sons, and the late Pamela Dietz. Dear grandfather of 17, and great grandfather of 14. Loving sibling of one brother. He had retired in 1987 as the Chief of the Detroit Fire Department. After that he worked as a courier for St. John's Hospital for a long time. The Funeral Mass was held at St. Isaac Jogues Church.
