Mrs. Rose’s family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until time of services on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Rose died on Sunday evening, Dec. 7, 2014, in NHC Healthcare of Sparta.
She was born March 31, 1929, in Ventura, Calif., to the late Gale and Decie Allen Smith.
She was a retired associate at Russell Stover Candies and a member of Sparta First Baptist Church. A faithful, loving wife, she supported her husband in their ministry.
Survivors include her two daughters, Carol Rose of Cookeville and Brenda Vinson of Sparta; a son-in-law, Ron Simcox of Algood; two brothers, Howard Smith of Ohio and Bob Smith of Cookeville; one sister, Charlene Smith of Ohio; five grandchildren, Nikki Rose (Jeff) Begley, Jason (Melinda) Lewis, Amber (Knute) Griffin, Chris (Tia) Lewis and Ashley Vinson; and 13 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Quintin Rose; two brothers, Kenneth Smith and Roy Smith; a sister, Dimple Mayberry; and a sister, Opal Purvis.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
