Wanda K. Coleman, 72, passed away on Dec. 2, 2014 at her home. She was born in Peru on Sept. 22, 1942 to John and Ruby Burgan. She retired from Decision Information Systems.
She is survived by two daughters, Christy Donathan (Joey) and Kimberly Sommers (Mitchell) all of Peru. Also surviving are five grandchildren: Joshua Donathan, Lisa Donathan, Kayla Donathan, Michael Sommers, and Kirstyn Sommers, all of Peru. She is also survived by twin great-grandchildren Rory and Raelin Donathan of Peru. She is survived by two sisters, Joann Cearns (Jim) of Ohio and Susan Witte (David) of Missouri. She is survived by special friends Dick and Sharon Harmon, Jan Bickel, Nancy Black and Kathy Sostok.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Robert Burgan and Howard Burgan, both of Missouri.
She took great pleasure crocheting, bowling in the YMCA league, and playing in her card club. She also enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She loved attending the many events her grandchildren participated in and, more recently, truly enjoyed playing and spending time with her great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions can be made through Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home as a love offering to the family.
Visitation will take place at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home in Peru on Tuesday, Dec. 9 from 4 - 7 p.m. Funeral services will take place at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home on Wednesday, Dec. 10. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery with Pastor Dave Ross officiating.
Arangements have been entrusted to Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home.
