George Fruh of Blackduck was found dead at his mobile home in Town & Country Court, Blackduck, late Tuesday morning, October 12 [1976].

He had lived at the mobile home court the past two months, moving from Kelliher in August. He operated a locker plant at Kelliher for a time and, in earlier years. lived on the north side of Blackduck Lake, and in Iowa.

Fruh was born August 29, 1894 in Michigan, N.D. He married Mae Johnson in March of 1921 at Fort Dodge, Iowa. They lived there one year, then moved to Clarion, Iowa.

He had been in the oil business and operated locker plants. They came to Kelliher in 1952 and to Blackduck two months ago.

He was a member of the Masons, Veterans of WWI and the American Legion. He is survived by his widow, Mae, two brothers, Jack, Meadowlands, MN and Tony of Kelliher and a sister, Marie of Blackduck.

George Fruh was preceded by two brothers Carl and Herman and a sister Jackie Wagner.

He claimed exemption in order to support his parents and a sister. Physical description: tall, stout, blue eyes, and dark hair.
