YOUNG, LULA VANOY GRIFFIN Age 93, of Hueytown, peacefully crossed the river and entered her Heavenly home on April 12, 2012 where she was reunited with her loving husbands, B.A. Griffin and J. Hudson "Hut" Young; her beloved son, Danny J. Griffin; parents, John S. and Permelianne Vanoy; and siblings, Susie, William, and Franklin. She is survived by her daughters, Wanda Griffin Norton and Ann Griffin Swanson (Dave), six granddaughters, four great grandsons, two great granddaughters, and one great-great granddaughter. The celebration of this precious Home-going of His saint will be Saturday, April 14 with visitation from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at Peoples Chapel Funeral Home, 195 Brooklane Drive, Hueytown. Funeral will be at Evergreen Baptist Church in Vance, AL at 3:00 p.m. with viewing prior to the service followed by burial in the church cemetery, Rev. Bill Donaldson officiating. The family wishes to give special thanks to Barbara Shelton, Hospice Advantage and Self Healthcare for their loving, compassionate care.
