MONTICELLO: Clayton Earl Ainsworth, Jr., 77, of Highway 11, died Sunday, December 07, 2014, at his residence.

The family will greet friends from 6:00 - 8:00pm, Monday at Bridges Funeral Home in Gray. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am, Tuesday, December 09, 2014, at Bradley Baptist Church. Rev. Steve Johnson and Rev. John McDuffie will officiate.

Clayton was born in LaFayette, Louisiana, and had lived in the Middle Georgia area for the past fifty years. He was the son of the late Clayton Earl Ainsworth, Sr. and Louise Simpson Ainsworth. Clayton lived most of his young life between Louisiana and Mississippi and attended the military academy for boys in New Orleans. From there he joined the United States Air Force serving ten years, two of which in Vietnam. He later joined the Air National Guard of Georgia for an additional ten years. After serving his country, he later worked in civil service at Robins Air Force Base for twenty years before retiring.

Clayton was preceded in death by his first wife: Carol Ann Ainsworth; and his sisters: Linda Ainsworth and Alma Grace Ainsworth.

Clayton is survived by his wife of thirteen years: June Ainsworh; daughter and son-in-law: Leslie and Ken Mosely; granddaughter: Toni and her husband: Kyle Parker; grandson: Daniel Mosely; two great-grandchildren: Kameron Parker and Khloe Parker; stepchildren and spouses: Ricky and Brenda Haizlip, Justin and Brittany Haizlip and Candace and Andrew Thomaston; and by step great-grandchildren: Jackson Haizlip, Landon Thomaston and Laney Thomaston.

The family requests no flowers, however, those who wish may make donations to Bradley Baptist Church, 821 Monticello Highway, Gray, Georgia 31032 or to Abbey Hospice, 215 Azalea Court, Social Circle, Georgia 30025.
