ASHEVILLE - Jeanette Stevens Jenkins, 81, of Asheville, passed away Monday, December 1, 2014 at Mission Memorial Hospital.
She was born November 15, 1933, and was a native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Robert Jenkins.
Mrs. Jenkins enjoyed bowling for over 25 years, and was also an avid crocheter. She was a member of Oakley Baptist Church.
Survivors include her children, Bruce Jenkins of Asheville and Phyllis Jenkins of Leicester; sister, Melba Wood of South Carolina; 7 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 PM Thursday, December 4 at Oakley Baptist Church with a funeral service following at 2:00 PM.
