Patricia O. “Pat” Yarbrough, 77, of Hendersonville, passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at the Elizabeth House.

Pat was born to the late William Pender Orr and Maxine Ellen Worthington on August 1, 1931 in Los Angeles, CA. Shortly there after, she came to Hendersonville to be raised by her grandmother, the Late Mrs. Charles S. Orr. She graduated from Hendersonville High School in 1949. While living in the area, Pat was a singer with a number of local bands. Later, she spent most of her working years in the entertainment business as an artist representative and tour director. Ending her career with the Mantovani Orchestra, she had traveled extensively with the orchestra to a number of countries, including Japan., China, Guatemala and Canada. Upon returning to Hendersonville in 1996, she worked in various jobs ending with her employment at the Flat Rock Playhouse as a house manager, where she met many wonderful friends.

She leaves behind three sons, Jack Dixon Yarbrough, Jr. of Hendersonville, William F. Yarbrough and wife Eileen of Florida, David W. Yarbrough of Atlanta, GA; two grandchildren, Katherine and Daniel Yarbrough.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, February 14, 2009 at Hendersonville First United Methodist Church with Rev. Dan Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Dale Cemetery.
