Nancy Jane Betz died about 1 a.m. today at 43 Olive Street where she lived with her sister, Mrs. Celia Brown. Her death came unexpectedly but was believed to have come from infirmities due to her advanced age. She had reached her 86th birthday yesterday.
Miss Betz was the daughter of Abraham and Sarah (Moler) Betz and was born in Morgan township but came to Gallipolis to live when but a child. In addition to Mrs. Brown she is survived by another sister, Mrs. Rachel Allshouse of Mill Creek and a brother, Basil Betz, at Jamestown.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the residence with Rev. W.S. Westerman officiating. Burial will follow in Mound Hill Cemetery by George J. Wetherholt & Sons.
