FROSTBURG — Betty L. Brodbeck, 79, of Frostburg, died Monday, June 28, 2010, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, Cumberland.
Born Oct. 10, 1930, in Borden Mines, Betty was the daughter of the late William T. Hyde and Bessie (Fazenbaker) Hyde. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Brodbeck in 1992; and 10 brothers and sisters. Betty was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Mrs. Brodbeck was a retired seamstress with the Flushing Shirt Factory.
Betty was a member of Saint Michael Church, Frostburg.
Betty is survived by two daughters, Carol Cespedes, Virginia Beach, Va., and Anna Connor, Hagerstown; three sons, James Morgan, Frostburg, Richard Brodbeck, Frostburg, and Jeff Brodbeck, formerly of Frostburg; eight grandchildren, Michael Cespedes, Jason Connor, Justin Connor, Peter, Elzabethe and Mitch Morgan, and Michelle and Mariah Brodbeck; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be private.
Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be directed to the Durst Funeral Home, P.A., 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, MD 21532.
