Mary Beatrice Montgomery, 73, passed away on Friday, December 5, 2014. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2014, at the Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory St., Abilene, from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. A committal service is scheduled at 1:00 p.m. following the visitation at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery, 7457 W. Lake Rd., Abilene.

Mary Beatrice was a born again Christian who encouraged others to love God and follow Jesus Christ. She was full of humor and wit. She taught her family the gift of giving to others and helping those who were in need. She is preceded in death by parents Joe Lee and Lillie Beatrice Johnson Williams; brothers, J.L. Williams and Wylie Olan Williams; and sister-in-law, Freida Williams.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Joe W. Montgomery of Cisco; son, George W. Montgomery; daughter, Rhonda Pipkin and Husband Ron of Cisco; brother, Joe Williams of Odessa, TX; sister, Pat Cox and husband Jerry of Comanche, TX; grandchildren, Rebekah Santos and husband Richard, Robbie W. Pipkin, Will Montgomery, and Sarah Montgomery; great-grandchildren, Megan, Symone, and Natalie Santos; along with numerous nephews, nieces, great- nephews and great-nieces.
