Cassandra Elaine Miller, age 59, of Mangum, passed away Thursday, December 4, 2014, at her residence, in Mangum.
Mrs. Miller was born in Mangum, Oklahoma on September 15, 1955, to James L. Reed and Berniece Hill. Moving away for a time, Cassandra moved back to Mangum as a teenager and attended Mangum High School. Cassandra received her Certified Nursing Assistant’s certificate and worked for many years at Mangum Nursing Home and later at Bar S. A member of the Colorado Street Church of Christ, Cassandra loved being involved in the church ministry and taking part in the church activities.
Preceded in death by her daughter, Letitia Miller and two brothers, James Hill and Gary Hill, she is survived by her parents, James L. Reed and wife Peggy and Bernice Wilhite; two children, Donald Ray Miller, Jr., of Mangum and Tichina Miller of Mangum; four grandchildren, Donald Ray Miller, III, Curtis Timichael, Elechia Neal and Erika Neal; four sisters, Barbara Boatner of Denver, Colorado, Debra Maddex and husband Gary of Mangum, Charylene Reed of Mangum and Demetric Robertson of Dallas; three brothers, Darrel “Mickey” Reed of Mangum, Duane Reed of Mangum and Lawrence “Pumpkin” Wilhite, Jr. of Dallas; the father of her children, Donald Ray Miller, Sr., of Mangum; some very special present and past friends, Glenda Chavers, Mona Chavers, Emma Evans, Tina Dean, Karen Cooper along with many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Cassandra Miller will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, December 10, 2014, at the Mangum Church of Christ with Eugene Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery under the direction of Greer Funeral Home of Mangum.
