Lewis was born March 21, 1871 in Garnett Kansas. He was baptized Mar 30, 1871 in Garnett Kansas at St Boniface Catholic Church. John Herman Wolken was his Godfather and Adelhaid DeBroeck was his Godmother. Lewis married Anna Adeline Debroeck on June 16, 1896 in Garnett KS. In 1892 the Feuerborn family moved from Kansas to settle in Oklahoma. Lewis and Anna had a farm near Lexington. The farm was called "Feuerborn's Park' because they had a big ball field and had ball games every Sunday afternoon. They also had a big barn and before the harvest when the barn was empty they would have barn dances. Together they raised 10 children, Lawrence Joseph, Edward John, Frances Elizabeth, Margaret Mary, Agnes Josephine, William Frank, Andrew A., Daniel Peter, Lucille Rosilyn and a baby girl which did not live.
