HAMPTON, VA. - Timothy David Oliver, beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend. Born in Santa Rosa, Calif., passed at home in Hampton, Va., on Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012, with his wife Pati and son Logan at his side.

Tim was a former Marine, avid fisherman and employee of Naval Aviation Depot, Norfolk, VA. where during his 30 years of employment, received numerous awards, including the meritorious civilian service award. His soul stayed strong and courageous through a long battle with cancer. Now that his journey on earth is over, his body will be set down and his soul freed. Those of us left behind feeling great loss and sorrow can take solace knowing he left the world a better place than he found it, and that he is home, finally home where his life began and where it will begin again.
We would like to express our thanks to all the friends, co-workers and strangers Tim met on his path. For all your positive energy, love and compassion, encouragement and prayers. You made a difference. And a most gracious thank you to Cindy, Kim, Pam and the Heartland Hospice staff.
There will be a private family gathering followed by a cremation. A spreading of ashes ceremony will be at a later date.

Om Shanti my love, peace be with you on your journey.
