Mr. Nevels was a self-employed carpenter. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Harvester.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service today at Baue Funeral and Memorial Center, 3950 West Clay Street, St. Charles. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. today at Baue. Burial will be at St. Charles Memorial Gardens, 3950 West Clay Street.
Among survivors are his wife, Amy L. Nevels of Wentzville; two sons, Eric J. Nevels and David W. Nevels, both of Wentzville; his parents, Johnny B. and Pam Nevels of O'Fallon; two brothers, Eric "Jeff" Nevels of St. Peters and John J. Nevels of St. Peters; a sister, Chelle Tharp of Center, Mo.; a grandmother, Goldie Parker of St. Peters; and a step-grandfather, Frank Parker of St. Peters.
