Dr. S. Alden Guild was physician and replaced his father (also an area physician) as state medical examiner for the 5th Worcester District. He earned his medical degree at Tufts University School of Medicine, Boston, in 1942.
He was a member of the medical staff at Hahnemann Hospital in Worcester from 1946 to 1975 when he retired from his medical practice and as medical examiner. He was then appointed emergency-room physician in charge at Hahnemann Hospital, serving in that position from 1976 to 1883.
