Thanks to Fay for this: more information on Michael and Susanna Alspach. He was born 21 Jun 1781 in Berks County PA and died 11 Feb 1873 - Fairfield Co OH. Susanna was born July 27 1781 and died Jan 27, 1860. They were married in 1803.

"Dear Mr. Parkinson:

Your letter of yesterday came today and I have read it with quite a great deal of interest. I have at my side now my copy of the clipping of Michael Alspach Sr's. death and life. The gist is as follows:

Michael Alspach St.
b. 7-2-1781 in Old Berks Pa.
d. 2-11-1873 aged 91-7-7
Son of Henry Alspach and Catherine Stein. Michael had eight brothers and eight sisters married in 1805 Susan Hammer and they had one son and nine daughters (not named). He outlived his wife and three of this daughters. In 1807 he moved to the neighborhood where he died with his parents,
his own family and six of his brothers. His parents and brothers George, Henry and Jacob are buried near him and his brothers Daniel and Bastien in Perry Co., Ohio, Adam in Hancock Co., Ohio, Peter in Schuykill Co., Pa, and John in Union Co., Pa. His grandchildren number 55 (16 are dead) and his great grandchildren about 50. Michael Loucks a grandson is about to enter the holy ministry.
