Violet Catherine Nesbitt- Cozad, 85, of Stockton, CA, passed away in a Stockton hospital on Thursday, Aug. 19, 2004. She was born Oct. 6, 1918 in Minneapolis, MN and married Lawrence Nesbitt during WW II. She moved to California where she was a homemaker throughout her life. After Larry's passing in 1988, she married Clyde Cozad and he preceded her in death in 1996. Violet was a loving wife and mother and is survived by son, Jim Nesbitt & daughter, Rhonda Nesbitt, both of Stockton; grandchildren, Shelly Holcomb, Corey Manship and Angela Pyle; great-grandson, Justin Holcomb; siblings, Rudy Veit, Rosella Verthiume, Marion Miller, Julia Grow and Francis Veit, all of MN. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Della Fern, Adeline Waddick, Arthur Veit, Helen Fitzer, Vernon Veit, Marie Veit and Blanche Corcroan. Visitation will be held at Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home, 831 E. Industrial Way, Lodi, CA on Mon., Aug. 23, 2004 from 1 PM to 8 PM. Burial will be private at Cherokee Memorial Park, Lodi, CA.
