Artie Jeanette Harris, 84, of Dallas, passed away Thursday, December 4, 2014, in Ennis. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, December 10, 2014, at the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, December 11, 2014, in the chapel of the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Waxahachie City Cemetery.

Artie was born in Childress, Texas, to the late Virgil Edgar and Gladys (Spear) Sterling. She was a dancer and sales person for Arthur Murray, and a commercial artist.

She was preceded in death by brothers, Virgil Lee and Don Sterling.

Survivors include sons, Spencer Harris and wife, Charla, of Ovilla, Jeff Harris and wife, Michelle, of Forney, and Steve Richards, of Austin; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Charles “Boots” Sterling, of Mt. Pleasant, TX; other relatives and many friends.
