Paul R. Rogel, age 54, passed away Friday, December 5, 2014 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh after a brief illness.
He was born in 1960 in Indiana to John and Ruth Pollock Rogel.
Paul was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd, Kent.
He was a 1978 graduate of the Apollo-Ridge High School and Lenape Vo-Tech.
He was employed as an electrician for Anderson Electric for the past 30 years.
He enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, and socializing with friends and neighbors. He was an avid train enthusiast and enjoyed the beach and the outdoors. Paul’s greatest joy was his children, grandchildren and his beloved dog Shadow.
Paul is survived by two children, Jason P. Rogel, Saltsburg; Stephanie L. Kellar and husband Larry, Marion Center; four grandchildren, Haley and Jacob Kellar, Nicholas and Danielle Rogel; his mother of Clarksburg; two sisters, Karen Phillips and husband Robert, Aston; Jennifer Hyde and husband Steven, Vero Beach, FL; and the following nieces and nephews, Heidi, Jessica, Hannah, and John Phillips, Joseph and Savannah Hyde, and other extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his father in 2006, and by his sister Mary Ann Rogel in 2005.
Friends will be received on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10 A.M. at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Kent, with the Rev. Fr. William Lechnar the celebrant. Interment will be made in the Iselin Union Cemetery.
