He was the son of Frank and Teresa Gorman he attended school in Ellendale including two yrs. at Ellendale state normal and industrial college He entered the service in 1942 he served with the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers.
after discharge he attended the University of calif. earning a Bachelors Degree and a Masters Degree in Engineering. He worked for the department of public works for the city of Las Angeles,Calif. he was in charge of the construction of the Port of Las Angles untill 1968 then promoted to Chief of Design untill 1978 the to Chief if Harbor Engineer he retired in 1988.
survivers include his wife Orpha,and one daughter Gayle, and three son's Dan, Marc,and Paul
