Nannie Roark Bogan, 88, of National Health Care, Greenwood, died Friday, June 7, 2002, at Aiken Regional Health Care, Center after a brief illness.
A native of Grover, N.C., she was the widow of Robert L. Bogan and the daughter of the late William Brown Roark and Daisy Crawford Roark. Mrs. Bogan was a member of Bogansville United Methodist Church and was formerly employed with United Merchants' Union Plant and Milliken & Co. - Lockhart Plant.
Surviving are four daughters, Lois Bolton Horne of Cross Hill, Cora Bolton Burgess of Witchita Falls, Texas, Annis Bolton Burgess and Lil Bolton Lewis of Union; two sons, R.E. Bolton of Union and Frank Bolton of Greenwood; a sister, Dorothy R. Boulware of Gaffney; 21 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Bogan was predeceased by her first husband, Ralph E. Bolton Sr. and a daughter, Juanita Nora Bolton.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. today at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Monday at Bogansville United Methodist Church, conducted by the Revs. Clayton Price and B.J. McAlpin. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 3 p.m. Monday.
The families are at their respective homes.
Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
