Robert "Bob" Parris, 89, passed away on Friday, December 5, 2014.

A Celebration of his life will be held on Monday, December 8, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Hurley Baxter and Rev. Teresa Edwards officiating. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Forest Hills United Methodist Church, Building Fund, 1217 Forest Hills Road, Macon GA 31210.

Bob was born on May 12, 1925 in Cave Spring, GA to the late Richard and Lula Nix Parris. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Richard Cohen (Sam) Parris, Jr. and Charles Parris.

He served honorably in the Marine Corp. during World War II. He was a graduate of Georgia Tech and retired as an Electrical Engineer from Robins Air Force Base. Bob enjoyed photography, gardening, and cooking; with his specialty being his famous salsa.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sue Parris, daughter, Jana (Don) McNeal, step-daughters, Luana (Neil) Deans and Malia (Lisa) Young, grandson, Bobby (Hope) Archer, granddaughter, Melissa Sanders, step-grandchildren, Eva, Cooper, Archer and Kainoa; great grandchildren, Brittiny, Macy, Aiden and Charlie and brother, William Parris.

Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery has charge of the arrangements.
