Tell City, Indiana –

Robert “Bob” Elder, 81, passed away on Friday, December 05, 2014, at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper.

He was born on September 12, 1933, son of the late Paul and Celestine (Gedling) Elder. Also preceding him in death was his son, Todd Elder; a sister, Margie Sixx and brothers, Bill, Joe, Johnnie, James and Carl Elder.

Bob graduated from Cannelton High School and was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. In 1987, he retired from Tell City Chair Company after 35 years of service.

Surviving are his daughters, Robye Delaney, Papillion, Nebraska and Beth Buechler, Evansville; sons, Kevin Elder, Ferdinand and Paul Elder, Cincinnati, Ohio; grandchildren, Amity Hendershot, Corbin Hendershot, Austin Elder, Shelby Elder, Gryphon Delaney, Brandon Elder, Chase Elder, Lanie Elder and Tessa Elder.

As per his request, there will be no services. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, will be handling the arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
