Fred J. Lamb, 75, passed away on September 11, 2012 with his family by his side.
He was born November 15, 1936 in Binghamton, NY where he resided all his life. He married Frances Taylor on February 2, 1957. He was predeceased by his parents, Vida and Jason Lamb and his brother, Michael J. Lamb. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Frances Lamb; daughters and sons-in-law, Patty and John Fricano, Viera, FL, Susan and Rich Allen, Houston, AK, Debby Lamb and John Bogaczyk, Baldwinsville, NY; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Debbie Lamb, Endicott, NY; seven grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren; one brother, James Lamb, Binghamton, NY.

He retired from IBM after 34 years as a tool and model maker. He was a member of the Adirondack 46-Rs (#3357) and the 91st hiker to walk the entire Finger Lakes Trail, both solo. He loved the beaches of Florida and the wilds of Alaska and also enjoyed volunteering, woodworking, hiking, and many outdoor activities.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia Research Foundation at 3520 Lake Avenue, Suite #202, Wilmette, IL 60091-1064.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Francis of Assisi, 1031 Chenango St., Hillcrest at 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 14. Family will receive friends at the church 9:00-10:30 a.m. Arrangements made by Wm. R. Chase and Son Funeral Home, Port Dickinson.
