MARY A. BOWSER, 95, of Twin Springs Dr., Chewsville, Md., passed away Thursday, December 4, 2014, at Ravenwood Nursing Center in Hagerstown, Md. Born October 7, 1919, in Waynesboro, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Paxton H. and Media V. (Pentz) Harbaugh. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Bowser, on July 13, 1994.

She was employed by Bethel United Methodist Church in Chewsville as a custodian, and the Washington County Board of Education as a cafeteria worker. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Chewsville.

She is survived by four children, Donna McCarney, Terry Bowser, Rebecca Webb, and Todd Bowser; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Anna Eilders; two brothers, Charles Harbaugh and Samuel Harbaugh; and one grandson, Brandon Scott Mills.

Services were held at Bethel United Methodist Church; burial was in Smithsburg Cemetery.
