Irene Mae Robertson nee: Wishecoby, age 84 of Skokie formerly of Chicago passed away on November 29, 2014 at the Skokie Hospital. She was born July 10, 1930 in Chicago, Illinois to the union of Alexander H. Wishecoby and Frances Klonowski “Klein”. She grew up on the Menominee Indian Reservation, Keshena, Wisconsin where she attended school. Irene was very proud of her Native American Heritage.
Beloved wife of the late Teenie “Tony” “Bob” Robertson. Loving mother of the late Gloria Burgess and the late Thomas “Tommy” Robertson. Dear sister of the late Dolores (late Runa) Lonn, late Louis (late Eleanor) Wishecoby, late Reneé (late Don) Goring, late Shirley (Joseph) Pensa of Glenview, IL, late Kenneth Wishecoby, Norbert Wishecoby of Shawano, WI, late Dominick Wishecoby and Mary Carter of Antioch, IL. Fond aunt of many.
Visitation Saturday from 1:00 P.M. till time of funeral service 3:00 P.M. at the Seguin & Symonds Funeral Home, 858 Sheridan Road, Highwood, Illinois. Private interment will be at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, Illinois. In honor of Irene a memorial luncheon will be held following the service at the Kentucky Fried Chicken, KFC, Rt 60 and Milwaukee Ave., Vernon Hills as this was Irene’s favorite meal, in her own words she would say rubbing her hands together “oooh! chicken”
