Mr. Bell was a native of Westville, Okla., and lived in Modesto 65 years.
He was shift supervisor for CVC/General Foods for 39 years.
He is survived by his wife, Jean H. Bell of Modesto; children, Bryan J. Bell, Pam Hayes and Brenda Ann Bell-Barfield, all of Modesto; brothers, Eddie R. Bell of Modesto; sister, Norma Severance of Modesto; and two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Lakewood Memorial Park, Hughson.
